Cassidy Humphreys

A.B., Princeton, 2022

Cassidy grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, in a town called Gurnee. She says her town’s claim to fame is that they have a Six Flags! Although Cassidy loves going to school on the east coast, the midwest still holds a special place in her heart. At Princeton, Cassidy is a residential college advisor for Rockefeller college, and her dream is to become a chemist in the flavor or fragrance fields! For now, she’s really excited to be learning so many new things about the metallophotoredox field, and can’t wait to get started on her own independent work in that field!

Fun Facts
  • One of Cassidy's best friends is her cat bubbles, although she is the grumpiest cat that has ever lived.
  • Both of Cassidy's parents were born in Belize, so she's a first-generation student.
  • During quarantine, Cassidy got back into reading and read 50 books last year. Her goal for 2021 is 60!
  • In another life, Cassidy thinks she must have been an Olympic volleyball player because, although she's mediocre at best, nothing makes her happier than playing or watching it.
