Christopher D’inzeo
B.S., Elon University, 2024
Chris was born and raised in West Haven, Connecticut. He attended Elon University in North Carolina for his B.S. in Chemistry and worked in Dr. Vickie Moore’s lab, where he developed chemotherapy resistant cell line models to explore nucleic acid structure mediated chemoresistance mechanisms. Outside of Elon, Chris pursued summer research experiences at Duke University with Dr. Amanda Hargrove, studying long non-coding RNA structure–function relationships, and at the University of North Carolina with Dr. Jeff Aubé, focusing on natural product total synthesis. After graduating from Elon, Chris spent one year at the NCI in Dr. Jay Schneekloth’s lab developing RNA targeting bifunctional molecules. Chris then joined the MacMillan group in August of 2025. Outside of lab, Chris loves cooking new foods, exercising, and watching cheesy TV dramas.

- Chris grew up playing percussion instruments and spent 9 years in the drumline section of various marching bands.
- Chris has a competitive side that only comes out during intense pickleball matches.
- Chris’ top mission in life is to be remembered as someone who ate a lot of dessert.
