Benito Buksh

B.S., The University of Texas at Austin, 2019

Benito was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, but spent his formative years in Grapevine, Texas. He completed his undergraduate studies at The University of Texas at Austin with a B.S. in chemistry. While at UT, Benito worked on the total synthesis of type II polyketides in the laboratory of Professor Michael Krische. Excited to experience snow, Benito ventured to Princeton, NJ and joined the MacMillan group in 2019. Outside of the lab, Benito enjoys long-distance running and eating delicious food.

Fun Facts

• As a native Texan, Benito thinks using "y'all" makes more sense than using "you all."
• Benito's ethnicity is 1/2 Lao, 3/8 Filipino, and 1/8 Indian.
• One time Benito ran 18 miles to meet his friends at Costco.
