Dr. Claudio Meyer

Claudio was born in Switzerland. He received his BSc and MSc degrees from the University of Basel in Switzerland, after working on the synthesis of mTOR inhibitors with Prof. Matthias Wymann in collaboration with PIQUR Therapeutics AG. He then moved to Oxford to work with Prof. Véronique Gouverneur in collaboration with Janssen. Claudio secured his DPhil working on radical functionalization of alkenes and on novel 18F-fluoroalkylation reactions. During his DPhil studies Claudio spent a total of 14 months in the Janssen laboratories in Toledo (Spain) and Beerse (Belgium). After completion of his DPhil studies, Claudio joined the MacMillan lab in May 2021 as an SNF postdoctoral fellow. Outside the lab, Claudio likes to go snowboarding and to play football. He also enjoys going out for beers with his friends.
