Dr. Yannick Brägger
Ph. D., ETH Zürich, 2025
M. Sc., ETH Zürich, 2021
Yannick grew up in the countryside near St. Gallen in Eastern Switzerland, where he attended the local middle and high school, specializing in Latin. After deciding that six years of Latin class were enough, he went on to study chemistry at ETH Zürich. During his studies, he completed research projects in the groups of Prof. Bill Morandi and Prof. Christophe Copéret, followed by a Master’s thesis in the group of Prof. Tobias Ritter at the MPI Kofo in Germany. He then returned to ETH Zürich for a PhD in the group of Prof. Bill Morandi, focusing on expanding the toolbox of molecular editing. Drawn in part by the MacMillan Group’s fancy-looking website, he decided to join the group as a postdoctoral researcher beginning in February 2026. Outside the lab, Yannick enjoys playing the piano, the cello or occasionally his Nintendo Switch. He also likes running, ice skating, Karaoke parties and studying languages.
