Linda Yiu

Linda was born and raised in Hong Kong. She pursued her undergraduate studies at the University of Chicago, where she completed a joint Bachelors and Masters in Chemistry. During her time there, she worked in Professor Guangbin Dong’s group, conducting research on Ru-catalyzed C-C bond activation reactions. After undergrad, Linda spent a year at Professor Yan Xia’s research group at Stanford as a postbacc, exploring the synthesis of functionalized polymers. Outside of the lab, she enjoys trying different recipes, learning new languages, and sipping on iced americanos.

Fun Facts

• Linda loves traveling to different countries and trying the local cuisine.
• She also enjoys learning new musical instruments such as piano, guitar, and the drums, despite not being particularly good at any of them.
• Born and raised in a city, Linda is a firm supporter of public transport and thus refuses to learn how to drive. She will probably ask to catch a ride with you though.
