Diversity Statement:
The MacMillan Group, whose primary goal is to push the boundaries of organic chemistry and chemical biology, is composed of diverse chemists from different ethnicities, socioeconomic statuses, races, genders, and sexual orientations. We acknowledge, however, there are still social inequalities not only in the realm of chemistry but across the globe. To combat these inequalities, we aim to have a lab environment filled with acceptance and tolerance for all. We believe a broad range of backgrounds is critical for fostering an inclusive and collaborative atmosphere. When a diverse array of talents is allowed to coexist, ideas from all voices are heard, enabling the successful conception and realization of innovative science.
